Join Stacy and Jackie at Mar de Jade for a week-long journey through the chakras and back to yourself. Imagine waking up to the sound of the ocean just steps away, and making your way to morning yoga practice in an open-air studio overlooking the beach. Our classes will offer a balanced blend of Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, Yoga Nidra and Yin. Each day we will focus on a different chakra, or aspect of the subtle body. Spend the day resting or exploring. Daydream, journal or nap in a cozy nook or hammock, or have an adventure: horseback riding, kayaking, hiking, or surfing. Enjoy wholesome meals, made with organic food grown on Mar de Jade’s farm, and fish fresh from the sea. In the evening, we will gather again for a yoga practice that will prepare you for a great night’s sleep. On the final day, you are invited to participate in a Temazcal ceremony (Aztec ceremonial sweat lodge), the perfect ending to a week of rediscovery, renewal, rejuvenation. Join Sarah & Jackie for 108 Classical Sun Salutations! We’ll start by gathering in a circle to set intentions for the practice. Then we’ll build a strong meditative flow. As we gain momentum, you’ll have the remarkable experience of becoming fully absorbed in your breath while carried by the group energy. This powerful experience will leave you feeling more focused, more resilient, more disciplined, and ready to embrace the new year. Yoga experience recommended.
New Year Nidra: Intentions and Visions for 2020 Saturday, January 4, 4 to 6 pm at Shanti Yoga - South City. Registration This 2-hour workshop will include a Yoga Nidra practice during which you set a sankalpa -- an intention formed by the heart and mind, solemn vow, determination, or will. Different than a typical New Years Resolution, sankalpa is rooted in gratitude for what you already have, faith that everything is already as it should be, and determination to see your goal through. You will also have time for journaling and reflection in this deeply relaxing and cozy workshop. There will also be optional time to briefly share your intention with the group. Set yourself up for a year of bringing your gifts into the world, to live your best life and to lift others up as well!
