Picture
Join the movement for a bright future, for all who call Earth home! If you have felt paralyzed on what to do about climate change, this presentation is for you! Leave feeling empowered, and transform your anxiety into action.

Learn the basics of climate change - why it's happening, how we are already seeing its effects, and how you can be part of the solution. We will discuss how YOGA provides a pathway toward sustainable service, accountability, and unity.

Please RSVP! Event is free but space is limited. Under "comment" please say in a couple words what you hope to learn.

I want to join the movement!

Trust me, I know what is feels like: you are driving in your car on a beautiful spring day. Pumping your 90s jams. the wind in your hair, the sun on your skin. Everything seems perfect. And then your remember: Oh right, climate change. Fuck.

You might feel like you don't know enough to get involved in the fight for a bright future for ourselves, our kids, the animals, and people around the world with fewer resources and access to power than you and me. You might feel like you have no idea how to start. That's okay. Start anyway. Start here. Have hope, and get let's get to work!

Take Action

  1. Pledge to Strike on Earth Day, April 22, 2020! Following the lead of the Sunrise Movement activists, pledge to strike from work or school this April. We are building a movement of millions of people in the street fighting for an end to climate change, lots of good jobs, and a vision for an equitable future. Join us!
  2. Support the young people at Sunrise with a donation. Learn about them here, and in some of the resources below. They are doing amazing work.
  3. Be and citizen, not a consumer: know who your elected officials are (find out here), and call them to demand a Green New Deal. See if your representative supports it here.
  4. Reduce your carbon footprint by eating local food! Join a CSA! Mine is great: Fair Shares CCSA
  5. Eat less meat! Start with going vegetarian one day a week, or go cold turkey (no pun intended).
  6. Attend a FREE training by the Climate Reality Project on how to be a leader in your community.
  7. Sign up for Ameren Missouri’s “Community Solar” program to get up to half of your home energy from local solar energy projects. Right now, Ameren’s program is fully subscribed, but getting on the waitlist will demonstrate demand for solar and encourage Ameren to expand its program (click on “Programs” under “Account Support,” and find the “Community Solar” program).

I got many of these videos from the Sunrise Movement, a badass youth-led organization fighting for Climate Justice and the Green New Deal.  I'll update this section periodically so check back.
